India is a cricket-obsessed country and some other sports like Hockey, Badminton, and Tennis (TT and Lawn) hold some priority. Other sports are not really promoted as much.

In India football needs more investment from both govt and private but cricket is eating everyfunds

It takes a lot of time and money to get football going.
The budget of a good team in Indian Premier League season, cricket is higher than the budget of all Indian Super League, football teams combined for a season. The latter is the premier football competition, but again the popularity from season one to the one before covid has mixed growth in terms of people in stadium and viewers at home.
The major blunder was a more cricket like structure be it shorter contracts for players which is a major no-no when you want 11 people to think alike to get the ball going and again the "league" being only a term added to the name with a really short season under 4 months and no relegation and promotion until the current season.
Talented youngsters are ruining the career by signing for bigger teams and spending the entire season on the bench before being dropped, while smaller teams struggle for a proper starting 11.

However the silverlining was the recent junior cup, Reliance youth was keeping up really good with Manchester counterpart. They were tactically on par and I'd not be bullish in claiming they were ahead in this aspect compared to the current senior team!

I am 14 year old and Iam from India and I very good in football and People say, send it to the academy, everyone says that if it is trained, it will become like Ronaldo I have not been to Kabbhe Academy yet but I play a lot of football. I was once injured. My parents refused me to practice football.
But I used to wake up at 1:00 in the night and practice till 2:00, seeing that my father mummy started supporting me
