Venezuela Expands Military Operations at Guyana Border Threatening Essequibo | Firstpost America

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has mobilised more troops to the border with Guyana as Caracas lays claim to Guyana’s oil-rich Essequibo region. Satellite images show that Venezeula has mobilised its forces on the Anacoco island and on the Punta Barima naval station. This comes as Maduro claims the Essequibo entirely which has been Guyana’s territory for centuries. Meanwhile, Guyana’s biggest ally, the United States has begun joint drills with the Latin American Nation. The US Navy also flew two F-18 fighter jets over Guyana’s capital Georgetown to show solidarity for the nation. This comes as Guyana allows several American oil companies to conduct operations in oil-rich Essequibo.

How do they expect to mobilize properly in a jungle with various swamps, rivers etc, if Venezuela is actually serious about this, they’re going crazy.

The way how things are going on in Guyana its doesn't matter to me if Essequibo is taken over by Venezuela because the only people who is benefiting from Guyana oil is the PPPC and its racist leaders and their followers while Afro Guyanese are marginised and excluded.

"Do not return bad for good."Pr;17:13-Here's a clipping from a newspaper."Six hundred and seventy migrant children have been accepted in the formal school system in Guyana, owing to the large influx of Venezuelans returning from the Bolivarian Republic stricken by economic turmoil."(The immediate outcome is we want to see them properly settled and they must be able to sustain themselves.)I do hope the troops will retreat.

Guyana has been taken by the Exxon Mobile and the thieves of their own country... And there is no way that Venezuela could harm Guyana from Anacoco Island.
