Something to note:
1. She freed the pig. There are 3 pigs in the pen but only one escaped. People say that these 3 represents Grish, Zeke and Eren because all three are the only shifters with pig ears. Zeke's and Grisha's titans are fat just like pigs too. Eren represents the pig that escaped, hence the desire for freedom.
2. She did not "conquer" Eldia. She is working under Eldia to conquer all the surrounding civilizations like Marley.
3. "Hallucigenia" is not the official name for that creature. It was a nickname that fans gave it, comparing to an actual hallucigenia illustrated in the manga/anime which is paralleled to Eren's skeleton form. The official name is "origin of all organic life".

AoT’s backstory, lore and how the lore is shown to connect with what happens in the show is honestly just amazing.
How it the show gradually connects the dots between what happened long ago and what is happening in the world now, as the characters discovers this alongside the viewers… quality shit.

For those wondering why she returned to Fritz, Here's a theory... She showed some interest in Eldian culture by the way she looked at a wedding. She lived in a primitive time of cruelty and hardship; on some level, she understood how strong a leader and man Fritz was. A man that would never allow what happened to her; to happen to her children. We really have no reason to believe the other expanding kingdoms were any better or kinder... In the end, Fritz wasn't the man Ymir hoped he would be... BUT her blood line did flourish! If not for her strange purgatory she'd have gotten all she wanted...

The most f*cked up bit of Ymir's story is that she had loved the tyrannical king. That's why she remained bounded within the Path and continuously 'shaping' titans.

It was longer than 2000 years significantly less time passed in the paths and because of how long it appears to take to make one titan she’s probably been their for hundreds of times longer
