I found 25 ABANDONED Redbox Kiosks...

The Redbox situation gets crazier every day. Seeing all of these Redbox kiosks still here in our local area is crazy, considering 0 redbox employees currently exist and retailers are just trying to dispose of these things. Let me know if you still have any redbox kiosks in your area!

the blue kiosks were originally blockbusters at one point for a short time, when redbox was on the rise and they were trying to compete with them. then blockbuster ended up shutting down and redbox took over the blue kiosks.

I recently found a red box...
Well really it was a homeless guy inside a big red box.
The only thing he had 12 copies of "cheaper by the dozen" on HD DVD.

Note: The Goodwill stores in St. Paul MN had tons and tons of NEW blu ray as they said their local video stores and Best Buy just dropped off their stock at Goodwill. Like 12 copies of 300, and Harry Potter and lots of Disney movies.

Maybe Disc, Disc...Goose is probably a reference to the game since the movies are in a circle and you pick the movie to be it for you to rent.

I've never used a self-service movie rental as I'm in New Zealand, we just had blockbuster types called VideoEzy & United Video... These are awesome! and I love how upbeat you are in the videos, subscribed

3:29 My one and only experience with Redbox was in late 2019 when they were phasing out their video game rentals and you could buy the video games they had in the machines. Death Stranding was brand new and my girlfriend at the time wanted to play it and I had just finished buying my Christmas presents when she told me. So I went to one of the Redboxs on my route home and bought Death Stranding (planning to hide it in the case of an Assassin's Creed game I had gotten her). My first experience with a Redbox annnnddd I got a photocopy of the disc taped to a blank CD. Sat in the parking lot of that gas station and after a bit of digging I found their customer service number. Luckily I was able to get my money back pretty easily, they were super nice to deal with. I then drove 5 minutes down the road and got the game out of a grocery store Redbox. My girlfriend was so surprised when she opened that game case to find Death Stranding.

i'm surprised Redbox doesn't just put all the movies they got up for resale prices at their machines to let people buy the movies and keep them forever to get rid of the physical media then get rid of the machines after they're fully empty since they are bankrupt and getting rid of the machines anyways

The one outside my local Walgreens still has one, and it works lol. The games in it are so old, like xbox 360 era. The movies, surprisingly, looked like they had been updated a few months back. Someone in the area has to be keeping it up to date somehow, cause its in perfect condition too. It also has that 'newer' redbox logo in the top left. If I could upload pics/video on here I would!
