You missed the Mercedes rule that prevents Bottas from making new calendars

I think the cooling shirts is a great idea. After Logan Sargeant’s incident where he had to retire after getting sick from the heat, it’s a great innovation. Hopefully it works well

The restriction of 20 days on testing old cars is so ridiculous. Too much control and rules these days.

82 Kilos for the driver weight = 2 wet Yukis

If sprint races are causing such an unnecessary complication it sounds like more reason to drop them.

The fastest lap point rule was fine the issue was it was only for the top 10. Instead of giving lower rank teams the ability to always race for a point

FIA's only rules for 2025:

Rule 1:
You may not say anything bad about his honorable majesty the great Ben Sulayem.
Rule 2:
If Ben Sulayem is an utter twat, see Rule 1.

(being sarcastic here if it wasn't obvious)

I'm baffled about the fact that Ricciardo taking the fastest lap point at the end of the Singapore GP convinced the FIA the bonus point is the issue and not the fact that Red Bull has a competitive advantage by having four cars on the grid.

They should have amended the fastest lap point to be available to all 20 cars. You would have seen the bottom few teams fighting in the closing stages of the race for a precious point that could mean the difference of 2 or 3 WCC places for struggling teams

I quite like the point for fastest lap. I think it adds a bit of excitement towards the end of the race.

With 3 races in the US, I’m not surprised they had to increase the minimum weight.

The grid lineup change is quite a big deal, because I don't know any other motorsport that shuffles the grid forward when a participant withdraws before the race session. The weirdest grid formation I've ever seen was the Argentinian MotoGP of 2018, when the track was wet after warm up lap but drying during formation lap, 1 rider stayed out and the rest pitted, but you can't restart a race with 23 bikes at the end of pitlane, so race start was cancelled and re-formed so that the 1 rider who didn't pit was on pole, and the rest of the grid started 4 rows behind him starting from the 13th place grid slot.

It's a bit of a dick move to not do anything about flex wings until Ferrari and RB started developing them.

@2:10 SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS - while I've only done grassroots racing I can't imagine NOT having my CoolShirt system on hot days, hell even on just warm days. I've done several 24 hour races (with a team) and without don't think I could have done all my sints and the whole team benefited from it. They are AMAZING - so happy to see them finally use this!

DR's fastest lap is the exact reason why they should keep it as a point. Moreover, Max pitting in '23 with a 50 second lead to get fastest lap for the extra point was just bravado upon bravado.

How about focus on good rules:
(Spoiler, Indycar qualifying rules)
1) cause a yellow in qualifying that affects another driver = loss of current fastest lap
2) cause red flag = loss of 2 fastest laps & exclusion from next round
3) all blocking/lap infringement are adjudicated prior to next round = loss of fastest lap

Enough of the penalized driver having it better than the driver he affected.

With active suspension systems entering production, it feels like a missed opportunity that they weren’t included in the regulations. This technology would allow teams to run extremely low ride heights without suffering from porpoising, even on bumpy tracks. As a result, regulations could have placed greater emphasis on underbody aerodynamics and reduced reliance on front and rear wings, improving cars' ability to follow each other more closely. To control costs, standardized actuators from a single supplier could be mandated, while allowing teams to develop their own software
