I have mixed feelings about the long desk since it makes it feel a little crowded, but then, I've got wide hips and find myself constantly crashing into things that petite people could get thru no problem, so it might be that.

That desk activated my claustrophobia. Way too compact for my taste. It's also so wide for no reason - makes it very hard to use the desk to it's full potential when it's so stretched.

My room is shaped very similarly but where the desk is here I have another door to an en suite. Atm my back is to the door when I do work which isn’t very comfortable. I have a tall desk chair which helps prevent that “reading over my shoulder” feeling.

I think mine is set up Feng Shui. That was my goal. My bed faces thex east as well.
