PERFECT BASS EVERY TIME 🔥

Here’s a more advanced compression technique for layering two basses together 🎛️

This process will give your bass a massive, polished sound.

First, we need to choose two bass sounds that complement each other.

One as the sub-bass, providing low-end power

The other will fill out the mid-range frequencies, adding character and detail

Route them to a bus channel

and place a Fabfilter Pro C2 over them

Use the opto setting for a smooth transparent sound

Ratio 4:1 , Fast Attack & Slow Release to glue them together

Split bass technique. Very common, very effective. Dont always need the compressor but you definetely do in many cases. Streaky say two basses. It can be two different tracks, or it can be a duplicate. Use what you got, and make things work xD

You have to be super careful doing this tbh. Phase relationships between the 2 sounds, and how you setup the eqs, are mighty important. You can easily ruin your sounds doing this too.

Also, if you really want to "glue" 2 sounds together, you should make sure the compressor is characterful. Preferably add subtle distortion as well. The more you effect the 2 sounds as if they are one, the more they will become one.

This trick is so briljant, Major thankss for the trick streaky’ cuz now i actually use it for all my bass focussed tracks and it sounds so much better especial for tech house. To split the bass into
A sub bass and a high end bass, u have so much more control over the bass u can make it stand out and create your signiature sound🔥🔥

Jerry Sine-Feld right? Bet you heard that a hundred times already

Don't forget! Duplicate the EQ so both of them are at the SAME frequency point so you don't run into phase issues! An EQ IS a delay.

I wounder why the producer didn't do it on sound design lol maybe that was the sound he was going for so that means you have killed their vision

what is your take on the low latency vs natural on the PRO-Q vs linear does it make lots of difference on the mix channels?
