Thank you for not shoving Paper Like down our throats like many (paid) YouTubers.

JETech has always made good quality screen protectors, and I have never been disappointed in their products

I’m glad that you noted in the description that that’s not the real PaperLike, the real PaperLike has a different logo that looks like a P and there is no dash in the name.
The real PaperLike screen protector is really nice!

Thank you for a very straight forward explanation on covering the iPad with a useful protector, it is a helpful resource in this minefield of possibilities.

I was worried I'd have to spend hours researching this, but I'm glad this was the first video i came across to settle the dispute.

Very informative comparison review! I was gonna go with the tempered glass, but it seems like the tech armor is the perfect sweet spot for the fingerprint problem and pencil usability. Thank you so much!

Now I wish someone already invented Tech Armor + JETech screen protector 😅 tempered glass with matte finish 😏

I use these cheap antiglare/matte tempered glass screen protectors(I think the company is called superguardz).

Think of it more like lightly frosted glass... Just a touch of texture, but not much. It offers FANTASTIC antiglare and very little grain distortion. That extra tooth makes drawing light details easier, but it's still smooth enough for broad gliding and barely makes a difference at all for finger-on-screen interactions. I think a lot of artists will want a toothier surface, but I find I'm more easily wrapping my head around the process of digital art by having a bit of "everything" with this guy. No, it's not like paper, but it's still really solid to use and more practical overall than heavily textured protectors

Thanks for this video. U showed exactly what I wanted to know for those matt screen protectors - whether it will distort the bits, whether it's matt enough to have some friction for using the pencil. Thanks.

I ordered a tempered screen protector and a magnetic case for my iPad Pro 12.9" from JETech
After trying them, both are excellent
Quality is high
No issues

Thank you for the comparison! I had heard a lot about Paperlike being hard on the nib of the pencil, so I had pretty much just set aside the thought of using a screen protector. The Tech Armor sounds awesome! Thanks for the comparison of all 3!

Thanks for you review!

May I ask what brush setting you use to get the two tone effect? It’s cool!

This has been an incredibly useful video!!! I've been wondering if I should be using one.. because I find hair, lint and fingerprints a constant problem on my screen... Thank you for doing this!!!

Well done. I appreciate how you make one feel you are truly showing us comparisons and not sponsoring a product. I Just purchased the 2020 Ipad Pro and have purchased an Apple Pencil for the first time. I like the idea of having a surface that feels "papery" while using the pencil/stylus. Some videos are pushing a "paperlike" product by a company actually called Paperlike and it's been tremendously confusing...at least to me. Especially since that particular product costs 2 to 3 times the ones you have reviewed. From your review I am assuming there are many "paperlike" products on the market and it comes down to preference. I like the Tech Armor too.

At this point (and this may be inconvenient for me) I am not planning on leaving the product on my Ipad all the time. I would have to be convinced otherwise, that any product which covers a screen does not in some way compromise the integrity of the new Liquid Retina display...at least a wee bit?? I'm guessing it's going to end up being a pro/con thing. Thanks again. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Got Tech Armor. But a pain to install. One cover lost. The second one just barely got installed. However, it is nice once it's in. Thanks for the candid and meaningful review.

ok ok veyr late, but actually for paperlike the roughness is all inside the of the screen protector, it is smooth and will not damage the tip or your apple pencil.

What about the image quality with the Tech Armor. Is it as bad as the Paperlike Matte Protector?
