I just wanted to start by saying thank you for your amazing videos.

I have a question about the third phase of the thematic analysis I'm currently working on for my thesis which investigates buyer-supplier partnerships. I'm using abductive coding, and I'm trying to figure out if my deductive codes can work as themes. For instance, I have a code called 'commitment', and all the individual codes related to it address different aspects and perceptions of commitment in the context of a buyer-supplier partnership. I noticed in your videos that a codebook code can be used as the main theme (I believe you compared it to inductive coding). However, I'm a bit confused as to why codes and themes can have the same name - in my case, 'commitment'. Also, you mentioned that a theme can have sub-themes - shouldn't those sub-themes be reflected in the codes and code book? Could you please explain that a bit more?

Thank you so much Dr. J. Have just started watching your videos. They are addictive. However, I have a question. I did interviews and asked 8 main questions. So, do the Thematic Analysis have to be question wise or the entire interview has to be analyzed as a whole? Your next videos are eagerly awaited. It would also be helpful if you create a tutorial on working with NVIVO

Thank you very much for this. This has helped me a lot with my project. Anyway, I'd like to know more if you used any tools/software to help filter the codes like Macros or Doctools or you did it manually in Excel. I have been self studying about the tools or the mentioned softwares, but I've been struggling with it. I'm planning to do it manually by C&P from MS Words to Excel. Any recommendations?
