It's so nice to see people appreciating our capital, the way you do. And trust me, even if you do such a little thing as order in Latvian, it really warms our hearts, cuz maintaining a little language is not easy and seeing tourists try to speak it (sadly often more than local russians) we are very happy. The "harp" at the Swedish Gate is actually an ancient national string instrument called "kokle". Thank you for the amazing video!

The string instrument in the gateway is called "kokle" and it's one of our national instruments. Basically, a hollow wooden body with strings attached to the top - similar principle to the harp. A lot of European countries have their own national variations of these kinds of instruments.
