Riga is such an elegant, peaceful and charming city. Latvian food is very good, especially the fish is prepared in a million ways. Latvia and the Baltics really have a lot to offer tourists. Worth a visit. I have been and I am delighted. Be sure to see the Baltic Sea because it is amazing from this perspective. Greetings from Poland.

Spent 6 years of my early youth studying medicine in Riga during 90s and still couldn't get out of this nostalgia. Love Riga ❤❤❤

Nowadays, as it is becoming so hot in South Europe, Baltic East coast might be #1 destination for the beaches, too. In the summer. Wide, white sand, with pine trees, some crowded with events, some just for you alone! 😊

Totally missed the micro brewery and coffee culture scene in Riga. I usually take my guests to either Labietis, Valmiermiuža or others to get a taste of an actual local beer

One of the best one-day Riga sightseeing videos ever seen!
A small tip - it is better to drink Riga Balm as a cocktail, e.g with a blackcurrant juice - it will not be so strong for beginners 😊
Thank you for this video, I love my city ❤

I visited Riga for four days, and I made day trips to Tallinn and ferried over to Helsinki. Air Baltic is so awesome, and the Riga Airport is easily accessible via public transportation and taxi. And I had a chance to drink a bottle or two of Black Balsam Black Currant. 🥴

Especially for Germans visiting Riga and other cities and castles in Latvia and Estonia, is just a must. So much German heritage with Baltic (Livonian) flare. Even Riga was founded by Germans (or Low Old Saxons, to be precise) from Bremen in 1201 and was a majority in the cities up to the 19th century. German Baltic population had to be "repatriated" just in December 1939 from Latvia and Estonia. Lots of people now in Germany have Baltic (Livonian) roots

You missed the boat excursion on the Daugava River, as that's a great experience to see the city skyline during a golden sunset!
The Powder Tower holds part of the War Museum which has impressive exhibits, and it's free admission. It's connected to a part of the few remaining city walls built during the Medieval period.
Apsara Tea House serves Riga Black Balzam coffee and their honey cake is sublime!
