The TRUTH About RTX 5000 Pricing. it surprised me

Nvidia announced the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070! The release dates, specs and prices are officially revealed now. At first I was really hyped because it seems like Nvidia is pricing them well (and they will still be decent value). However, when digging through the specs and the performance that Nvidia showed, I found a sussy trend... These cards aren't the crazy thing we are seeing on the surface.

7:20 - Nvidia themselves are showing in this demo that the card is incapable of rendering the scene at an even remotely reasonable fps. 27 FPS with DLSS off is how the game will FEEL. Who cares if the display is throwing images at you at 247 fps if you are sending your mouse inputs by mail!

4k resolution full RT for cyberpunk; the 4090 has about 21 Fps. 5090, about 28 Fps. To get more fps, the rest is Ai and fake frames.

In 2022, Nvidia also claimed that the RTX 4080 would be 2x to 4x faster than the RTX 3080 Ti. After testing, it turned out to be only 33% more powerful....
Bs marketing and fake laggy frames, no info regarding real performance uplift.

The 4090 where I live in Europe is still 2.5-3k euros so I wouldn't be surprised if the 5090 will be around 3.5-4k eur... Which is just unreal

Let's not forget. GPU msrp is never a guarantee. And, the msrp pricing is only for the FE cards and the first batch of cards sold before scalpers and retailers inflate the prices.

NVIDIA doesn’t care about gaming at all—we already knew that. They’ve focused all their updates on boosting AI performance. I think DLSS 4 was created just to showcase their capabilities with generative AI models.

AI TOPS isn’t a hardware stat. They’re using it to sell cards. They’ve improved DLSS, locked it behind their new cards, and claimed it’s the cards that are better, not the software itself.

Nvidia 50 series is like adding few additional tens of km/h values to old car speedometer, and then sell the car to you as it being faster than new one...
Then they can go and say "See, this as well has max speed 320 km/h" when previously it had "280 km/h" as last value, but car really only goes to 205 km/h on autobahn....

And now people should be happy that "See, you have same performance as more expensive one!".

The 5090 is 2500+ USD in my country, so the 5090 poll wasn't totally wrong
