3 reasons to NOT upgrade to the RTX 5000 series

Im happy with my rx 5700xt and im very happy i was expecting bigger jump over the rtx 4000 series but its little disapointing i home amd rx 9070xt will be the best prize to peformance gpu❤

Three reasons. 1 I paid probably close to $2000 with tax and all on a 4090 in 2022. 2. I barely even got to play the dang thing because I’m a single dad and we moved and have just been too busy with life. 3. I always buy the flagship and skip a gen although it’s tempting every generation to not buy the new shiny gpu. Got two ps5, two series x, oled switch, steam deck, and rog ally also just collecting dust. I’ve been dying to play some games lately.

Lol... yeah, none of these 3 actually apply. The pricing on the 5000 series makes it cheaper than the 4000 series. I can agree that it may not be worth updating if you already have a good GPU. But if you had no GPU there'd be 0 reason not to buy the 5000 series and get a 4000 series when the 5000 series will be cheaper unless you get a great sale on a 4000 series.

How about jumping from PCI4 to PCI 5, NVLINK is not going to work anymore, you need to have a really good motherboard with lane configuraiton for parallel lines communication

this video aged very well AHAHAHA the 5000 series cards dont support physX 32 bit meaning games like edge runners, borderlands, batman arkam asylum etc~ will pretty much be unplayable for the most part unless you get yourself an old gpu just for physX support to pair it with your 5000s card. Melting power connectors issue still being a thing and seemed to have gotten worse with the new series. Some FE 5070 ti cards missing ROPs making it 11% less performance, so if you bought your card from a scalper, you are screwed unless you wanna resell it to some other clueless shmuck to screw them over instead.

AMD has a big chance here, but I doubt they'll capitalize on it.
if you own a 4000 l series card, just keep it not worth the upgrade whatsoever. dlss 4 is on all rtx cards and multi framegen isnt worth it.
