So here's a good strategy for 2 Players in a team game:

Step 1: Pick Ottoman and Mapuce as your civs and try to settle your Capitals on different continents.

Step 2: Get many Cities on the Continent of your Capital (doesn't matter if through settling or domination) and beeline Colonialism (maybe also Exploration).

Step 3: wait for a fitting Moment, then trade all of your Cities exept your Capital to your ally and vice versa.

Result:
Mapuche and Ottomans get nice bonuses from cities not founded by themselves. This will be the case for all of your and your allys cities after you traded all of your cities. Since you settled on different continents combine that with colonial taxes and colonial offices policies to get massive yields in all of those cities.
One of you can build Casa de Contratación for even more yields.

Example for the bonuses you can get:
Assume the Mapuche Player got five cities from the Ottoman Player, built Casa de Contratación and has a governor in each of these cities.
Then those cities get:
+15% Production and Culture from the Mapuche civ bonus
+25% Gold and +10% Production from Colonial Taxes
+15% Production, Faith, Gold from Casa de Contratación
+15% faster growth from Colonial Offices

Ottomans get the +1 extra Amenities and the benifit, that the newly gained cities don't lose population from Janissaries. They will get a real good increase in amenities, since they traded most of the cities without extra amenities away.

I like to play maximum civilizations on a small map, so I don't usually have to build a settler. Go for domination.

Maybe people have been talking about this strategy, but Kupe + Sinbad + Work Ethic religion. Early gold from Sinbad who scouts ahead of Kupes prime settling spots. Early gold let’s Kupe go for early religion ahead of units he can buy with gold. Work ethic solves coastal production issues.

Eleanor of Aquitaine + Voidsingers is also broken!
Focus on buildings with open relic slots and stockpiling faith, once you hit the industrial era send out waves of cultists, even if their used up with little achieved, the relics they produce chip away loyalty of enemy cities within 9 tiles of your cities. Once a city joins Eleanor of Aquitaine, just move relics and activate "Bread and Circuses" wherever possible, and it'll cascade from there!

I just had a game as Hungary where I was flanking a civ on 2 sides: one with hipolyta since she is broken, and another with 3 city state units. Both took a city on their own. And thats because the Huszars were really fast and getting major victories on cities

Something I would add to the Mali strategy would be to get the governor that doesn't lose population from building settlers because then you can pretty much buy a settler with faith every other turn without losing population in your capital

Matthias Victories were sweat on their own. The Civ Devs spoiled me when they added Himiko. You could talk about Hercules all day, I'm Firmly in the Himiko camp. My city-states (all of them) love me imperial, can you say the same?

Well on the turn of the 19th-20th century, the Japanese-Hungarian kinship, mostly based on the fact that both people have a high ratio of lactose intolerants. (The underlying motive was to lay claim to any territory between the two people.)

I was playing deity mode with mods and I went to war with India and allied with Mongolia. I was going to take a city down with a population of 33 but Mongolia took it first. They razed the city and that was the first time I've gotten scared of Mongolian troops in Civ 6

"When you get nationalism you want to get armies"
Thats at mobilization, not nationalism. You get corps at nationalism. And fascism comes even after mobilization, so you wont have it at corps
