How To Set Up Wi-Fi Calling On iPhone

Two Apple experts show you how to turn on Wi-Fi calling on your iPhone. Wi-Fi calling is a great way to make phone calls, especially if you live in an area with poor cell reception.

To set up Wi-Fi calling on your iPhone, go to the Settings app and tap on Cellular. If you don't see Wi-Fi Calling in the Settings app, your carrier may not support it.

When you turn on Wi-Fi calling, you'll have to enter a 911 address in case of an emergency.

When I get to the "Enable Wi-Fi Caling" and click "enable" - says I need to contact Sprint even though I have not active account with Sprint. I took my old iPhones offline. Is there any way to make calls through my WiFi, or Internet?

Why do they try to make it hard on the iPhone XS Max? I had to try it twice before it worked. Maybe it’s an AT&T thing?

hate to ask, what may seem like a ridiculous question, but at 0:52 it is said that "your cellular provider, must allow Wi-Fi".
Question: Wi-Fi calling will not work unless my iPhone (5c or greater) is on a carrier. So if I'm looking for a way to provide my young child a way to call me in an emergency (due to lack of landline phone in our house), Wi-Fi calling is not going to work, since that would require putting an old iPhone on a plan.
