The Biggest Animal to EVER Exist? Perucetus

On August 2 2023, Scientists released details of a newly discovered Fossil unearthed in Peru named Perucetus colossus. It lived 38-40 million years ago during the Eocene epoch. The fossilised remains are incomplete but researchers estimate that Perucetus was 55 to 66 ft or 17 to 20 meters long and weighed from 85 to 340 metric tons. The upper end of this scale would far exceed the mass of any other known animal, including today's blue whale.
