Oh man I don't know if I've just watched too many of your videos or what, but I knew your choices would be brassica heavy... So excited about gardening in the fall!

I have your "seed pantry" also. I bought it to hold all my pictures for scrapbooking in. I never thought to store seeds in them. Brilliant!!

I was just in San Diego visiting family. It was actually chilly, as witnessed by your jacket! My sister in Ramona has a greenhouse that she has never used. She'd like to start using it but has no experiences in greenhouses and winter gardening there.

Great video and collaboration with UK Here we grow. I don't want to stop growing & harvesting vegetables just because it's Autumn and Winter. We still need to eat during the winter so we shouldn't stop gardening just because of the wintry weather or we will have to depend on stores for our winter vegetables which will increase our food costs. If you aren't growing & harvesting during the winter you must be able to afford the cost of vegetables in stores and that means you can afford to buy vegetables from stores all year round, so it doesn't make sense to me that gardeners stop gardening once we're into the Autumn and Winter.

lettuce and spinach are my top choices. (favorite lettuce: speckled leaf lettuce from seed savers exchange) They'll live happily through 20-F temps, and I sure miss them in summer! Also no pests, unlike my kale, kohrabi, beets, etc. A few radishes and carrots added to the greens make for pretty fall salads.
