Tom, I appreciate your videos and the ones you do with USCCA. I live in the Detroit area and have been looking for 2A experienced defense attorneys to have on hand just in case. I haven't found anyone. Some come up in 2A searches but their case histories don't list anything. Most had long lists of varying cases like you talked about here. None would make me comfortable especially in these days of loose law happening in the courts (MAGA, J6, A Jones, etc). These are scary times. Can you suggest how to find a good 2A lawyer in our area? Who do defense attorneys generally use when/if they are ever involved in a defensive gun use? Do they represent themselves in court?

I’d enjoy some discussion of how training or not training plays out. There is speculation that prosecutors may try to persuade a jury that someone who trained was itching for a fight. I hate that idea and wonder if it actually happens or is just a fear.by analogy, someone who shops around for life insurance isn’t necessarily looking to die soon.

Question: if a self defense case gets dismissed, can you be recharged? If so, is it ever best to go to a jury trial to avoid being able to be charged again assuming they come to a verdict?
