We are attracted to our significant other to their natural smell. When I was young my husband worked a few states away. What I missed the most was his warm & natural smell. He had a blanket that he left behind. Whenever I missed him, I just smell the blanket to remind me of him.

I've never in my life met so many people who suffer from allergies. Allergies were unheard of when I was growing up.We have sanitized ourselves nearly to death. All these anti-microbial, antibiotic and antibacterial soaps, lotions, sprays, etc. have killed off all the good bacteria that lives in and on our skin naturally. I remember sitting in mud puddles making mud pies with my little toy dishes. My mom didn't freak out. She knew that all she had to do when I was done playing was to strip off the mud caked clothes and throw them in the wash and stick me in the bath tub. No big deal. Parents now are so afraid to let kids explore in the natural environment and get a little dirty. A little water and maybe a little bit of soap are all that's necessary to keep anyone clean. Everyone now days are so terrified of a speck or dirt or a germ. Thank you for this video. Blessings to you Robin.

I have personally hugged you Robin, and you smell beautifully Earthy. I only filtered water bathe once a week, in clay, apple cider vinegar, and essential oils. I dry brush daily, and oil bathe daily. I eat all organic plants, and forage in the warm months. I only drink foraged spring water, herbal tea, and a liter of green juice daily. My body is very healthy!

I enjoy your channel and I appreciate the fact that you are living the way that you are. I have tried to live a very natural lifestyle since the '70s and have succeeded for the most part. Not to the extent that you do as I did get married and had children in the '80s and raised them in a decent enough home (doing the necessary work to make that happen). I raised them without taking them to fast food places making everything from scratch for the most part until life demands caused me to cut corners from time to time. There is a misquote that's attributed to Hippocrates (something he allegedly never said, but somehow the quote is attributed to him anyway) "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." I learned that in the '80s when I studied herbalism and it's something I taught my children. Despite capitulating to the industrial complex (as in working jobs I didn't particularly believe in) I gave my children the opportunity to see both sides of the coin and make their own choices. I'm currently a pretty strong 73-year-old living on a mountain ridge and very much connected to nature still, as are my. The peace that can be found here in the mountains is amazing; and I'm very thankful for it. As you alleged, I believe the natural movement is alive and well in this country and the industrial complex might be quite surprised by this, but I'm hoping that they'll get their comeuppance in my lifetime. I greatly appreciate you and all the healthy, inspiring messages And life experiences that you've put out over the years. As they say, keep on "barefooting." Hugs

In India, our ancestors used purified mud mixed with turmeric powder as a body cleanser. There's a herb called 'Shikakai' that naturally foams and cleans, that was used as shampoo. Later bar soap from soda ash was introduced by the British. Now its deep engrained in psychology that we have to use a harsh alkaline soap everyday on our body, hair, clothes etc.

Hi Robin,
Thank you for doing this. You are living what I have always wanted to do but as a female have never felt safe enough to do and I am still on my journey to heal many generational and lived trauma so am not yet in a position to take this on full time. Its in the making though ❤ It makes me happy to see someone living this way and I hope that your inspiration actually reminds our indigenous peoples all around the world to remember what our ancestors knew and did and return to this way of life.
From my culture, Māori from Aotearoa, every fibre of my soul aches for this way of living.
Thank you again for your efforts and your inspiration.
Ngā mihi nui e hoa.

The most exemplary human being of whom I am aware. I keep saying heroic, and it truly is the word that fits. In a world trying to force us to be something we are not, it is a rebelious act to simply live as we were evolved and born to do. Hats off, a huge bravo, and massive thanks to Robin for showing us the way to truth and what's possible in this world of consumerism, capitalism, and all the other unnatural isms that are harming us and our precious planet home... 💚💚💚

Thank you so much for sharing this Robin. I have been using redwood tree essential oil as a cologne for a few years and most of the time people who I hug say I smell like a tree. :) That to me is a wonderful compliment. Thank you showing us another way to live, a way that respects our selves, others and the world around us.

Thanks Robin for making these videos, and sharing your journey with us all. I appreciate your authenticity <3 For self-care products, if I can't make it in my kitchen, I don't use it. Most recently, I've started brushing my teeth with sea salt (dissolved in saliva) and wheatgrass juice powder (and sometimes baking soda). Even a lot of the 'eco' products on the market are very greenwashed, so best to make your own when possible. This coming January will be 10 years of being bra-free for me, and i'd never go back : ) It's also been about 12 years since i've had a flu shot and i have not had the flu since I stopped getting them. Thanks for being a living example of what it means to thrive when we get back to our roots.

Thanks for sharing this, Rob. You never cease to inspire!
I'd never heard of using wet sand to exfoliate. I'm adding that to my list!
I currently only use natural personal hygiene products too:
Lotion: olive, avocado or coconut oil;
Teeth: homemade tooth powder made from clay, activated charcoal, sea salt and baking soda
Deodorant: nothing or coconut oil and baking soda
Shampoo: rye flour or clay
Conditioner: coconut water or aloe vera and avocado oil
Soap: Dr. Bronner's

I really love this sand cleaning idea. It can remove the dead skin cells which is what bacteria feed on and their waste is what smells "bad", while also keeping the micro-biome of your skin healthy, and preserving our natural pheromones and scents.

I'd like to figure out a way to have a "sand bath" at home. All it needs is a way to clean the sand after use

Thank you for being a beautiful voice of peaceful reason. I'm still learning how to break away from the life that was sold to me, but you help make this stressful process so much simpler. Been following you for years. Much love to you Robin.
