Cool man getting closer, a little bit everyday goes a long way.
I like to use wheel bearing grease on seals so they aren't installed dry. It is also an extra layer of leak protection because it'll never get hot enough to melt it out of there, will be less room for oil to sneak by and be lubed for life.

You should definitely get some sort of overdrive transmission for that rig. Those swirl port heads come on strong right off of idle but are done at 4, 000 RPM. With overdrive you'll also get great fuel economy with the way it is setup. If you setup your gearing just right you should be able to cruise at 70 mph at 1, 800 rpm no problem because of the low end torque those heads will give you.

A 700R4 with a 2.73 to 3.36 rear gear will work great and you'll be able to shift into overdrive @45 mph. The 2.73 gear will work ok as long as your tires are no more than 26" tall. With a 3.08 you can go as tall as 28" and still be able to launch like a freight train in first gear. Not sure what your plans are for tires so... Can't wait to hear how she runs, the only thing that would make those run better is if the didn't have those huge 76cc smog chambers on them.

Get a Q- jet for it, those are way better than TBI.
