Unless you have a specific use case that requires this slightly smaller exterior size, I don’t understand the Taco’s popularity. The cab is substantially smaller than a full size truck as are towing and load capacity.
Yet the purchase price and fuel mileage is little if any better than a full size truck.

The truck shown in video is not a hybrid. It’s a twin-scroll single turbo 4 cylinder with no electric battery other than the 12V. It’s 278/317 instead of the 326/465 that the hybrid has.

I've driven Toyota trucks all my adult life, but I'm now considering other makes. I don't want a turbocharged 4 cylinder that won't last even half as long as the V6 it's replacing.

The power delivery is way better. Not happy with the USA and global emissions taking v6 and V8 away.

The display looks like a afterthought. Why put a TV in a truck? Why put all that technology in a truck? It's one short away from trashing a vehicle. Toyota has been trying to get that transmission to work since 2018. It took a law suit to get Toyota to try and patch it a while back. There's a 50/50 chance you'll get one that works without replacing the solenoid packs in a few years. Hopefully it's under warranty. Even the standard transmissions have parts breaking off. Is it a truck that will last like the old Toyota's or is it another Tundra fiasco? I'd wait a few more years before buying one. I waited two years before buying my 2020 Camry and the cars got worse. Toyota left it to the customers to find the tens of thousand of the bad engines and quietly replaced them if block sealer didn't work or if they leaked oil through the block castings. My new Camry was a breeding farm for gremlins. I joked that the windshield wipers was the only thing that worked right until they started acting up. Toyota quality started crashing with the 2018 Camry and it seems it's in all of models now. I'm sure Toyota quality standards, what ever that standard might become, will improve over time but I'd hate to be stuck with one that snaps under loads or if you leave the window down by accident during a storm or if one of infamous door seals leak on the door controls. I don't want a vehicle that blows up on humid days.

Hate the new interior. Cheap screens everywhere. Even the AC vents suck now (old ones rotated 360). That turbo-4 can go to hell.

The "enthusiasts" who complain about the i4t sound like old fogies and need to go check their lawn to see if there are any children on it that they need to yell at them to get off it...
