Aubrey!!! I took your course and bought my first cash car last week. Im actually at a Ford dealer getting the car checked out for a recall. I noticed it had a recall on the CarFax and I used that to negotiate a $400 price decrease even though the car will be checked out for free. This content is invaluable because it shows the downs and disappointments of the business. I took a dive and bought the car even though it was valued at about $1, 700 less than what I paid but I’m entering the business at a sucky time 😭 thank you for this amazing content!

The best way is to get allot of approvals at a dealership and use them ALL to buy multiple cars at once!

I have never seen a car market as inflated as the current one. Sold my two leases for about $4, 200 each over payoff🙄. And now I’m working overtime to get a good lease again🤣🤣.

Great channel! Love the relaxed vibe you guys have😎

Don’t the cars for Turo need to be 2012 and newer and under 130k miles?

So I bought a cheap Chevy spark everyone made fun of me but I figured it’s good on gas where I live in Florida it’s not popular but I figure if I list it for $25 a day I should get some rentals

You guys are definitely not alone. I am trying to buy a house later this year and I am praying housing prices level out somehow or I don't know how I am gonna be able to do that. Inflation and lack of supply in every market just seems out of control.

I just rented my first Tesla this weekend and even though I knew I would be paying for supercharging, I was a little surprised at how much Tesla Supercharging actually ended up costing (~$90 for my trip of 700-800 miles after Turo fees and invoice taxes). It's almost not even worth renting an EV if supercharging is not included via turo, but I am still happy I did it once just for the Tesla autopilot experience.

I am not really interested in making Turo a full time job or primary income, but I would be interested in using it to finance and pay for a car like a Tesla. Would you say Turo is a good option for someone who just wants to own a car that would be out of their price range on their own to make it pay for itself, or do you have any other insights on that mindset?

How many miles do you allow for your cars?

Does Turo kick a vehicle off its platform once mileage reaches 130k miles?

seriously.. you guys should understand that your jacking up the prices on used beater cars so you can do your thing... I'm not hating just dont act like you cant find cheap cars for your business when your legitimately F*cking up peoples ability to get a cheap first car or a cheap A-B transport for a family. crashed Honda odesseys are selling for like 8k completely demolished.. craigslist is full of F*cking "rent this car".. everything available to the average person is pretty much a parts car.... My favorite.. Saturn S-series cars...the cars that I could not pay to get rid of or have towed away because they are plastic. my favorite car in the world is well over $1000. so yea.. right on guys

What are the sweet spots for purchase price and remaining life of the car?

Four grand with five years of life left?

Maybe you should defer expansion until prices come down?
