What if the "r " is less than the critical value, and we conclude that the null hypothesis is accepted, what does it mean or what does it imply?

If I'm not mistaken, this is a two tailed test. However, the decision rule is saying "greater than" only. Does this mean a negative r computed value will always result to reject Ho?

What I don't understand here is why you are using the r value to test again the critical t-value. You should first calculate the t-statistic which is equal to r divided by the square root of (1-r2)/(n-2)).

Why is the degree of freedom 10-2 and not 10-1

You forgot to check the assumpstion that the data are from normal distribution, otherwise you cannot use this test, quite important
