How to Connect iPhone to TV + Screen Mirror in 2021 & 2022 | 3 Methods to Screen Mirror iPhone to Any TV

In this video, I show 3 different methods for connecting any iPhone to any TV in 2020, without the need of an Apple TV. This also allows for iPhone screen mirroring on the TV, which is great for playing games, working with certain apps, etc.

One method requires a direct connection, the other 2 are wireless options to stream your iPhone to the TV and also screen mirror.

Were you able to connect your iPhone to a TV? Which method did you use/do you prefer in 2019?

Just drag the screen down from the right, click screen mirroring (after making sure your phone/iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi as the tv you want to mirror/cast them on), then a list of devices connects to the same Wi-Fi will pop up. Click the one you want, then type in the code your tv pops up. Hope this helps 👍

Thank you for the very helpful info. Just need to slow it down for some of us who are not very tech savvy 😂

I just feel Apple is still so focused on branding that they are falling behind in terms of convenience which is what most users want. I LOVE my Roku TV and chrome cast doesn’t work for what I’m trying to display. Looks like it will be the HDMI cable for me.

I tried the Airplay from my iPhone XS Max and it worked first try. Super clear quality and I can still be on my phone. Great vid bro, thanks 🙏🏾

I agree with others, using airplay, my phone is looking only for an Apple TV (Which I don’t have).

Remember that instructional videos are for people who need help getting things set up, not a demo of all your knowledge and experience (Which is how it’s coming across at this break neck speed).

My husband are not very tech savvy. We would to watch Direct TV on a Smart TV through my iPad. We bought the Lighten 2 digital AV adapter at Best Buy. We got more help from a knowledgeable customer in the isle than the Best Buy employee. He warned us that the cable does not work any more if one contracts with Xfinity. We live in WI, spend 3 months in FL and figured there had to be a way for us to use the Smart TV as a nice viewing monitor so that we didn’t have to purchase a second TV contract. To the point, we hooked up the HDMI cable, attached the AV digital adapter, were in business for about 10 seconds - had the Direct TV video from my iPad on the screen and then it disappeared with a message that the HTMI cable was not supported. Are we out of luck or is there something else we can do.? Grateful for any help.

Thank you for your video. How do you solve the problem of audio lag when using the hdmi adapter cable?

If you still monitor this. If I use the cord connection do I have to use WiFi? Or does it run off my data? Thank you
