How to adjust your skateboard for more stability

so true, I'm still a beginner and when I first started my trucks were mega loose and it threw me off so much. couldn't even land an ollie properly, tightened them up and landed it first try.

I had a skateboard bought for me when I was like around 10 years old but it turned on its own and it was hard to get used to because of that. But because I didn't have someone or something like the internet to search for my problem, I never touched it again and it collected dust at our family's cottage till a week back I caved in and started finicking with it. I still haven't looked up any info, I'm extremely lazy but more so not actually that interested in it, just blindly doing things. Gonna try the tightening trick and see if it works.

Tym for the tip mine came so tightened that i cant even move left or right

Please don’t *EVER* tighten trucks that much. You honestly shouldn’t tighten new trucks at all unless the bushings are broken in. By that point they’ll tighten up themselves. You will just blow out your bushings by “tightening them until you can’t anymore”. Also if you’re a beginner, tighter trucks will not help you on the long run. The looser trucks the more they turn and the more you need to maintain your balance. This will make riding your board much easier, and when you get to doing tricks you’ll see you can roll away much easier than with tight trucks.

I tried to tighten them but when I did, it didn't turn much. Should I loosen up or try buying new parts?

Seems like now I know why I cant go straight while skatint I keep going left and right and it makes me look rlly awkward 😂 [UPDATE] I now know how to push and ollie stationary

Mine started real tight so I want to loosen it a lot to turn better

I just got my fully custom board and it is super loose even tried tightening my trucks, but it’s still super loose I might bring it to the skate shop maybe they can fix it for me

My dad was skating when he was my age, he told me that my trucks are loose and he tight it so much that they weren’t moving at all, i told him it was to tight and he stated arguing

This is an awful tip 😂

It’s personal preference in regards to how right trucks are but also if you tighten your trucks to as “tight as they go” you will break your bushings and your trucks will remain lop sided and miss shaped 😂

Nawww it’s too hard. You’re not gonna have a fun time learning to skate. If medium trucks seem too much you’re not going to look forward to months, years, decades of forever battling
