Hi Travis, recently started driving again after 5 months and I'm slowly getting back to my "best". Thanks for your videos, they helped me feel less nervous about getting back behind the wheel

Very good advice. i went out for a drive as passed the other week and keep doing exactly what you said in this vid. I realise im.going the wrong way and then try quickly force myself across. Yesterday across a car was in the lane i tried to go into quickly and i hadnt checked mirrors properly, it had to swerve out the way never felt so scared!
I'm def going to stick to what you have said just carry on. I think i was worried about ending up on the motorway that's why i moved over quickly but its better to be safe than sorry!x

Passed my theory other day bud, it was my third attempt though but hey ho I passed it just one more test to go!

Here are my results

I got 43 for the multiple choice and I got 60 for the hazard perception.

One more test to go, hope I pass it first time with flying colours.

Thank you so much for this. This area had been a big weakness for me. I took my first driving test last week and unfortunately failed for a silly reason (going too quick through a width restriction!). However my examiner was confident in my driving and how I handled roundabouts, during sat nav section I had to take a third exit but no one would let me into the right hand lane so i followed your advice by staying calm and just stayed in my lane, taking a safer line and just going straight on. Although I failed, I actually left feeling proud! Absolutely confident I’ll pass next time :)

Thank you so much, this helps learners a lot.

Often the problem with roundabouts is learners get SO stressed about going the 'correct' way it all goes out of the window and goes wrong.

It even happens to qualified drivers, they cut other drivers up and swerve across lanes as they are SO focused on going the correct way.

Happens all the time, people choose the wrong lane and force their way in. Very scary, I've had to brake hard to avoid hitting them, yet they don't seem to care.

Hi Travis,
A bit of confusion to me this video... Please help me to understand... You say if you are a wrong lane you should go round...it is clear for me, but if you go round in the inside lane (right lane) you will still in the inside lane if you go round...nothing gonna change, just you gonna make an extra round I think....Another think what I am not understand.... If you are the wrong lane like in your video. You could not go to the second exit because you were in the right lane ....My question is why you could not do that for the second exit than the third exit? I mean after first exit signal left and leave the second exit... Same as the third and fourth exit ...I am really confused now ...sorry..:)Thank you so much for your help...

I wished I watched this video beforehand, I was on a really large 3 lane roundabout and had to cut a lane and failed because of it. Now I’ve got to wait 2 months for another test.

Hi quick question, is it wrong to signal as you change lanes once entered inside the roundabout and carry on there in left position to take your exit?
Or are you only allowed to signal just before your exit, and just looking to move left is fine because signalling to change position would make them think you're leaving the roundabout?

Hi Travis, thank you for the wonderful video. Just wondering, if I did have the opportunity to change lane safely, will I be breaking the traffic rules if I did?

The examiner told me to turn right on the roundabout. Unfortunately, I took the left lane as I had been practicing using the straight ahead lane. On the roundabout, the examiner for some reason said I'm going right not left. I moved over to the right lane and had I just stuck to my lane I would have passed. I ended up with a serious fault and failed the test.

Hi. Thanks for sharing the information. Just had a small doubt. For example if examiner sked us to take first exit and we mistkenly took right lane(as shown) and after we came on correct lane by circling the roundabout. Will it be consider as a fault? If yes will it be mimor or major fault? Thanks in advance.

Great video very helpful, but What if the lane you are in takes you into a motorway ( which your not allowed to drive on as a learner?)

Failed my test again on simple things, one was for keeping to the right for too long and one was for exiting the roundabout too late and moving to the left when I shouldn't have because their was 2 lanes.
