I tried watching this movie last night with my friends and we maybe made it 40 minutes in before stopping. I truly and wholly disliked this film. However, I appreciated the realistic tie-in to martial arts and Chinese culture, but it lost its appeal for me when they started comparing chi to witchcraft (which chi is not like that at all and is considered an essential aspect of martial arts.) Also, for all the people touting historical accuracy, the American accents placed within the Northern Wei Dynasty made NO sense to me. The absence of Mandarin or Cantonese just kinda made the movie annoying to me. There were just so many things to not like.

First of all I would say 4 reasons why this movie is crap reason no.1 why would you spend all of your hard earned money on a crappy thing for Disney + to watch this atrocity remake. Reason no.2 there’s no dragon and no cricket I forgot the names because I haven’t seen the animated one in a while. No.3 when you buy the 4k there’s no code that’s just a waste of money for sure. and finally no.4 this remake for a movie was defiantly a big mistake.
