I started with version 6. After a couple of projects, I started to understand the principles of Drupal. Wow! Everything is logical and clear. I don't see any point in looking at other content management systems.

This is awesome work Drupal guys did starting Drupal CMS project. I'm a drupal developer from version 4 (yeah, long time ago), but this project is going to become a real alternative for other cms on the market. It becomes stylish, it's loaded with full of modern features, it comes with recieps and all other useful stuff. It was underrated for several years just because it was missing a good marketing and a package, but it always had a lot of potential. Now, with Drupal CMS, composer managed software, modern php, structure and the stuff you shown it might become one of the more interesting CMS across the market. Hopefully the experience builder will provide a way to build a nice templates, however from the Dries video it looks like it's going to be a blast. All of these changes will surely make Drupal more popular and real alternative to other modern CMS.

I am a WordPress developer for over 10 years and the latest 'drama' as we like to call has got me thinking. I usually create custom themes for my clients base on a design. Would you be able to go through theming basics I assume others in the WP space would love to see it. I am going to install and play with Drupal CMS, my main concern is the content editing structure as it is now, before Drupal Experience, to gauge what my potential clients would be dealing with.

I was going to look at migrating my WP stuff to it but the install prcoess is a nightmare. I wish to run it in a cloud vm not locally and just cant get to it be happy at all

Nice presentation. But how you deploy this to a VPS for production. With WordPress is easy this looks more complicated.

Hate WordPress, manage my own sites, would be nice if it was simpler to use. I don't spend all day on it as some do. Even the install is testing.

Drupal is a total nightmare, You have to do most of your updates through the backend or with composer not easy to used
