I'm going to go ahead and share another verse. It's a goodie: "Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse." (Proverbs 9:7)

The most difficult thing is to honor thy father and thy mother when both are narcissists

You mentioned some good scriptures. Here's another that helps me. Regarding a narcissistic smear campaign: Proverbs 19:5, "A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies shall not escape."

Also I believe a church/religion can become a perfect feeding ground for narcs, because most people there just want to be kind and forgiving and the narcs just exploits that to the full and tends to get away with it because we have to 'forgive', the covert narc or wolf in sheep clothing, the covert narc, there are many scriptures, but here is one Jude 11-13

We spent a whole class session discussing malignant narcissism when I was in seminary. Came upon at least three examples while in pastoral ministry. Was actually quite surprised to realize how few people in church life just can’t discern narcissists in the pew right next to them. “Wolves in sheep’s clothing.’

The Bible is Holy and God talks about those being wicked and evil! God says have nothing to do with them! 1 Thessalonians. Abstain from any form of evil.

My ex-husband who was a narcissist was the music pastor at our church. It’s so crazy how sociopaths and narcissists even pedophiles some of the most dangerous people are usually able to put off the illusion that they are good people. So whenever you hear about people that knew these murderers with these mental disorders, and you would ask them what their opinion of these people were, most people would say that they were “charming, a really nice guy” or “he seem to get along with everyone”

Here's another verse I've found helpful. (A bit late since I've been married 34 years but still comes in handy with this and other relationships): "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." (Matthew 10:16)

I believe the word, -narcissism- is, a synonym for the word, sin.

Even in the comments already, I see there is opposition. We can expect that. The enemy, the Devil, does not want this information spread. He doesn’t want to be exposed. Keep going. I’m with you. Don’t give in, don’t stop.

“Disobedient to their parents” was one quote my narcissistic father used against me. Also the “honor your mother and father “ commandment. His interpretation of these passages was that I should follow his every order, whim and attempt to control my life no matter how ridiculous or against my own principles, it was. He used them against me well into my adulthood in his attempts to control. I am so glad I went no contact with him. I pray that I can forgive him and myself.

These verses describe narcissism perfectly. And it tells us to avoid these people.

I'm the family scapegoat. I'm 58 yrs old and still suffering. I was disinherited by a narcissist father. It's just me and the Golden Child and he has such a deserving attitude. He's learned from my father that I'm such a bad person. I was diagnosed with diabetes at age 6 and dad was so ashamed that he produced such a imperfect child that he gave me this false identity. I've gone no contact with the Golden Child brother. I've been trained to think I'm a worthless person. Dad gave my brother the entire 120 acre farm. I'm not worth 1 acre in the back corner? It's so hateful!
