When I was 5 I had this vision that a weird entity was on my sister’s bed, and then my mom started praying and it slowly disappeared until it was no more. There is power in the name of Jesus.

What I hate is how demons are depicted in media. They are always shown as creatures, who appear gloomy and frightening, while in reality their goal isn't to make us scared of them, but rather to make us feel comfortable in sin. Like the devil, they are tempters and "cloud themselves as angels of light" since this is the easiest way of making people stumble on their way to true faith.

I knew someone who said he considered demons friends. God told me to stay away from him. And I did. It's been more than 20 years since I last spoke to him. One day he will learn what Hell is about. It's serious business to befriend evil spirits. It's not a game. Rely on God for protection, and you will be safe.

I had multiple experiences as a kid, seeing things levitate, torment me, and had something crawl towards me and it was the scariest experience in my life. My mom seen it as well, picked me right up, and prayed in Jesus's name, and it instantly gone and a wave of peace came over us. Ill never forget the love we felt in that moment, so crazy how the scariest moment in my life also was one of the most love filled experiences ive ever had. After I truly understood and accepted Jesus as my personal savior, I never seen it again, and I personally feel like the whole experience helped me for the better because it gave me hard proof Jesus is real and does save and helped get rid of any doubts my mind came up with.

Most of these things I happen to have already knew through family teachings over the years.
But one of them stood out to me...
"Demons cannot possess a Christian."

I had heard people say this, but never heard where they got the idea from...

I had recently been really worried that I might have a demon, because I stumble a lot with the same sins despite my hate for doing those sins...
Someone at Bible study told me "you cannot have a demon, because you have the Holy Spirit." And that helped for a little while, but then I got to thinking and wondering if they could me mistaken...

But now I know I don't have a demon.
The devil still tempts me...
But I know I'm not possessed.
And that's a comforting thing to know... Especially after several months of thinking I was...

Timing of this video was on point. Had a terrible encounter with a sleep paralysis demon and I rebuked it in the name of Jesus Christ. That whole experience confirmed a lot of things I had unanswered. Demons are real and spiritual war is real but remember that Jesus and God are infinitely stronger. Recently I’ve been having AWFUL thoughts, EVIL ones. I know that most comes from the internet, but… it’s also who I’m around. But I can’t control it because everyone in my school is either racist, rude, or just plain ignorant. Like a dog learning from his evil owner. I know I’m above that now, but it’s left a mark. Sometimes I’ll be just minding my own business, and an AWFUL thought will get into my head. Sometimes I think it’s demons, but I’m afraid that now the theoretical demons are apart of me now, and I’m trying to be a better person. The one who I was and is meant to be. I think it’s easy to imagine demons as physical monsters to be vanquished via vampire killer, but like the Ephesians passage states we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood. They are very deceitful and love nothing more than for people to misunderstand them so that they can thrive. It’s very comforting to take refuge in the Lord.
