It is amazing how much one can learn about anything in the universe in 3 minutes. How it happens is not a SciShow....

By far my most favorite scishow! Hank discussed two of my most enduring interests ^^

I think you've gotten a great David Bowie song stuck in my head. Thank you.

We look at our galaxy and predict how it would move based on the matter that we can see, but it doesn't move like that. Something is holding it together that we can't see...some source of gravity pulls it all together that is invisible to us and behaves much differently from normal matter.

I just watched the video. It doesn't say that all distance is time, it says that we use time in everyday conversation for distance, but that doesn't mean they're the same thing. The video talks about 'bike minutes' and 'plane hours'. To find distance from time, you'd divide it by the speed of the bike/plane. Similarly for light you'd divide the distance given from the lightyears (multiply 0.00001 by 1 light year) by 3*10^8.

Thanks. But the video isn't saying that time and distance are the same thing, it just cites their ability to interchange in everyday usage but that they are interchangeable with use of d=ts. So a light year would still give you a distance. In order for 0.0001 light years to be converted into time, you'd have to multiply it by 3*10^8.

Rayz0101, Haha I don't see how it could be weird. I was excited as well! I had already heard about/read the NASA info but was very much curious what Hank and the others had to say! This channel/show and everyone who has anything to do with it, rocks immensely!

I have commented several times on these videos asking you to talk about dark matter...now I'm wishing I hadn't because you managed to confuse me even more about it. This is why I'm not taking any science courses in college! It just goes right over my head

Lucid Dreaming sounds like a topic that will take this channel...to the next level...

I was wondering if you could talk more about mirror matter (is mirror matter the same thing as antimatter?). And maybe about how it's a theory for the tunguska event, I think it's all really interesting.

I would love to see more videos on famous scientists! Especially one's us basic mortals don't know much about :)

The explosion at Tunguska was an icy comet that exploded as it entered the atmosphere. No fancy physics or supernatural phenomena are required.

How do you find the time do all the shows?, even with your brother. I just think it's a lot of work with the editing and everything.

in any case i love the various shows you and your brother do.
-peace :)

Hank is a funny guy. I like the quality of words and facial expressions quite humorous although I was just a c average student in High School I still understand most of what he is saying.

Could you maybe do a scishow on antarctica? And the life that's recently been discovered there?

My memory goes back as far back in time when planets were not created yet. So that is my challenge to be able to teach technology and information that has already happened to people who are still developing energy wise. In due time, it will make sense to you. I guarantee it!!

That'd be a very cautious maybe.

They arise from two different implications of mathematics and physics we've observed. They just happen to have similar names chosen for their "mystery." The general consensus is that they have nothing to do with one another, though there's always a chance they have a unique relationship we just haven't discovered yet.
