i did it with thick jeans and it ended up just scrunching the sides and it didn't work out it just clumped together.. have any tips?

It worked perfectly! A little tip for those who don’t have thick thread, try and layer your thread! Instead of putting one side of the thread through, fold the thread and put the middle through the needle and tie the ends together🫡
