Beautiful movie. Takes me miles away... A strong portrayal of how indians deal with their own psyche, it's probably hard to understand for somebody who never touched psychedelics before. But even for those there's plenty this film can offer, very good acting, charming music and good action.
There are lots of visuals in the movie, which are all nice, but only a few of them manage to match the actual beauty of what a human brain can see... ;)

You need to have taken psychedelics to feel what they are feeling in the climax. You might understand the story, but you wont "get" it until you know what a real life-changing experience like that is like.

When I first watched this movie it was called Renegade. But I guess they changed the title to Blueberry. Anyway it's worth a watch.. Gets pretty weird at the end lol but that's what makes it different than other western films

For the spiritual, it is about spirits and facing your own demons. Tibetan Buddhism teaches this though in different approach (watch Milarepa).
For the drug addicts, it is a movie about what goes on in their mind during psychedelic hallucinations.

Jan might have exceeded on the CGI trip scenes, but the overall experience is great, great camera works, great actor performances, great action sequences and great sountrack.
Charming, hypnotic and beautiful if you ask me.
