As a Turk from Istanbul I’m happy to hear how unbiased you are. Just like you said, it comes down to who the doc is and what proper training they had. Most medical procedures in Turkey are regulated similar to EU and it‘s a lot cheaper. I can never understand how you can travel to a country and not know the name of the country and the city you‘ve been to -especially when it‘s a city that was the capital of many cultures for centuries.

This guy needed a hair transplant like a fish needs a bicycle. I also loved that they flew to "Idanstbul" and toured "the city Turkey."

Dude…. This is the last person who needed a hair transplant.

Sounds like he should have started with the medical therapy before doing the transplant. Also it's "Istanbul" not "Instanbul" and this is the city, Turkey is the country.

I think it’s unfortunate this gentleman even thought he needed a hair transplant. Sad

I think he means Istanbul. My brother in law went there and got a hair transplant. It looks amazing still after 3 years.

My sons friend, really went there for the transplant because of the cost a lot lot cheaper. Well, he does look much much younger and very happy from the result.

3:25 so true
I do brow treatments and really dislike those strict microblading measurements.... that's why they always look so artificial. Yeah, the clients usually want more symmetrical brows but you can do "more even brows" without literally a mirror effect.
And I try to explain to them, if you look at your hairline you can see the hair flow and direction which also impacts the direction of brow hairs making one lower and one higher, one rounder- one straight. It's usually the same as the hairline, if you have a higer left side, your left brow is also higher (and i think it should stay that way)

Dr. Gary, you do a fantastic job explaining the process. I like that you stated price isn’t everything. For me personally, I would not want to be half a world from my home, post surgery.
I am sure any lectures you give are most informative, I enjoy your YouTube channel.

Hey Doc just wanted to say you're awesome. Beside being super educational your videos and voice are very entertaining. I just got a hair transplant in turkey, the surgeon was super surprised about my knowledge I picked up from you. Also I was a Norwood 2 since 16 now at 27 I ve become a Norwood because of mpb. We focused on the front of the head with 3k grafts and I'll do a second session in a year. Also you gave me the courage to just go for it. Also looking forward to all your videos Doc. 🎉

I lived in Istanbul for a little and you always see people with their hair transplant bandages walking around.

First: It's Istanbul, not Instanbul. :) I've been travelling there 25 times for holiday for now. After getting a blepharoplasty in 2019 there, I decided to get a hairtransplant last year in February. I'm 51 years now and I'm very happy with the results so far. The doctor I've carefully selected was amazing. He even build in a little widows peak after I asked.

Fact: There are good doctors and bad doctors in Turkiye. Select carefully and take your time picking the right doctor.

Why is he having a hair transplant? His hair looks fine! Why make it look unnaturally forward.

Hair transplantation in Turkey is now simply wrong and dangerous! I live in Turkey! Nowadays, in many clinics, transplantation is performed not by doctors, but by medical brothers (nurses), who have “seen enough” and teach from the doctors. But themselves do not have the right to do this procedure! A lot of nurses like this quit from clinics and opened their own!! So they do a wrond way! My friend works in a popular clinic for such operations and she says that there are a lot of complaints and side effects now that doctors are silent about! My husband had such an operation 4 years ago, inflammation began, his head was simply rotting, and the doctors only advised him to take various antibiotics and nothing helped! As a result, my husband now has huge scars on his head and in these places hair no longer grows at all, just empty holes! but because of the antibiotics there was a side effect, and he had to do a second surgery on the stomach!

I‘m from Germany and a lot of people here go to Turkey for plastic surgery. Unfortunately, most results aren’t great. The hair transplants usually have a way too crisp hairline and the noses always look like a ski slope and are too small. I’m sure there are great surgeons in Turkey but they are probably just as expensive as the ones in Germany.

He got the Cro Magnon line up. I don't understand why they have a device making the same curve for everyone. I wonder what people will say in 20 years after all the men start balding more.
