I am a Turkish citizen, the hyper-inflation that has increased recently has made living conditions difficult, I understand you very well. I'm sorry you left us, I wish you a nice healthy day, goodbye 🤗❤

My family moved to Antalya and we are still living here, it has been 6 months now. I agree with all the positives that you mentioned, and since we bought our home we do not have to face some of the negatives you talked about. Its been very easy settling in here and people in the neighbourhood are very kind and friendly, even though we are the only brown skinned people around this whole area it seems 😅I really enjoyed your videos, especially since you also lived in Antalya it was nice to see videos of what we now consider "our" city. Sad to see you leave, but look forward to your new adventures.

I just spent 6-7 weeks in Turkey. Your information (videos) is very good and accurate for people wishing to travel there. It definitely helped with what to expect. I can understand it being a hard decision to leave (for the time being) as it is a wonderful people and culture. Thanks for what you do!

In my opinion, settling in Turkey should be made a little bit more difficult. I respect tourists or expats, but you know that as the demand for real estate increases, housing prices increase, rents increase and agricultural lands become more expensive and open for constructions, which makes arable lands more expensive.

That's a bummer. Things in the world are changing SO, SO FAST. For example, Turkey's economy has been struggling with 80% inflation and, just everywhere else skyrocketing energy cost. However Turkey just made a FANTASTIC economic arrangement with Russia. And it's a HUGE GAME CHANGER. Turkey will become THE distribution hub for Europe and Asia for Russian gas and oil. This deal has far reaching implications, should enrich turkey and completely turn around it's economy, not to mention reducing energy cost and thus inflation.

I spent $ 30, 000 in 3 weeks in Hawaii, $1, 000 for a month in Mexico and $1, 000 for 3 months in Turkey.
My best times were in Turkey, then Mexico then Hawaii. Odd, isn't it ?

Sorry to see you leave from Turkey. During your travels, you always provided useful insight into this country, thanks for that. And oh yes, my ikamet renewal went without any problems, no need for a certain amount of money to be placed in a bank. What is new though is that they register all fingerprints in the foreigners office. Take care, safe travels.

Living on a income of foreign currency is way easier. I have lived in Türkiye for 9 years now. There are many pluses like you guys mentioned. I agree with almost everything you guys mentioned. Great content. Thanks for the review.

Hope you enjoyed your time.

About residence permit requirements, Turkish people are extremely annoyed because for really short period of time too many foreigners started to relocate into Turkey with easy residence permit and kind of invaded some cities. Rent prices skyrocketed especially in Antalya, Istanbul and Izmır due to foreigners. Approximate number of foreigners including asylum seekers, illegal immigrants and legally long-term residence is 14-15 millions. So that's gigantic number. From now on, I don't think anybody can easily get residence permit except tourist visa.

Thank you so much for the honest insights. For someone who has lived abroad and can no longer afford to live in the U.S. and deal with all the crime and social decline what you provide is of great value and much appreciated. Having spent a good bit of time in Asia I look forward to your your upcoming adventures and insights!

I just left Turkey because my holiday was over and it was hard! I can only imagine how hard it was for you both after so long. We are seriously considering buying a place there though so will be back in spring ;)

I am personally so sad to hear your departure from Turkey because you seemed very happy and in a way well settled in it.However, the latter part of your video I found it a bit disturbing, to say the least. As you know, I have been following your videos in Turkey for quite sometime with the aim to educate myself of life in Antalya for a possible relocation and you’ve been an excellent source of information in this regard.
I feel very unsettled in my way of thinking now if it would be a good idea for this move considering the unforeseen legal challenges that one could come against in the future. That is a major consideration to take into account before uprooting and resettling. Anyway, Turkey is a lovely country, friendly people and has delicious food and thanks to you both for bringing it to our attention.
Good Luck in your next adventure.

You two are amazing! Whenever I watched one of your videos, it was always professionally produced. You are informative, humorous at times and extremely generous with your time. I understand your reasons for leaving Turkey. The country is going through a lot economically and politically and that impacts everyone, locals and foreigners. It is a shame because Turkey is a wonderful country. I wish you well in your adventures. Stay safe and in touch. I will remain a faithful supporter of your next journey. All the best!

I live with my daughter in Kadikoy, Istanbul. We just renewed our residency permits for another year and had no problems. I wasn't asked about our plans though I had heard this might happen. The one piece of advice that I took was to deposit 80, 000 TL into my Turkish bank account. This was just for me; it wasn't necessary to deposit money for my daughter.
