Not having a smartphone is a personal choice and the right one for me. Tracking apps, always being available and general disruption of the subconscious mind are main reasons why I chose to get rid of my smartphone.

I quit spending time with most people who sit and play on their phones. Deleted all social media in May. Never felt better

I'm 16 and I had smartphone about 4years, until last summer when I turned to 16 I bought a "dumbphone", because I started to see more downsides on it than upsides

The blind man longs to appreciate the aesthetics of the world he cannot see, while the sighted man stares at his phone.

Listening to you is one of my steps towards de-stressing, your voice and your thoughts are calming. Thank you.

Everywhere I go, I see people looking down at their phones. No one is watching life unfold and taking place all around them, right in front of them. Amazing.

I wonder how many people type in the comments with a smartphone right now.

I'm nearly 75 and back in the 1950s my friend and I would shout to each other across the valley. Great times.

I actually get tired of people calling and texting me. Most of the time when I leave my house I don't take my phone with me exactly for that reason. Anyway, love the way the sun is shining behind you and the bird singing it's song in the background! Pure nature. Have a great day!

I respect any man or woman who ditches their smart phone. I plan on downgrading soon.

My smartphone is 5 years old and I never wanted it to begin with. It's starting to malfunction now and I won't be replacing it. I'm always the only person not staring at one wherever I go!

Brother, same. I have no social media or smart phone. I’m 27 years old living in Texas. Going ghost is the best option in a world like this. Stay safe and love will always win brother !

I ditched my smartphone 4 years ago. The freedom I have experienced is amazing and I am proud to speak of it. I admire you for taking a stand and acknowledging that they have ruined our culture and how it robs our peace. Protect your peace! New subscriber here!

I remember the good days when all I had was a telephone plugged into the wall & no caller id.
The TV had 5 channels that I rarely watched, nobody had a computer (internet) in the home, and life was never short of anything.
Now when I tell people I don't have Facebook they roll their eyes and ask me what I do with my life... I'm not even old yet!

Smart phones are a reason the community has broken down. Everyone lives in a technological bubble, and have turned there backs on what really matters.

My dumb flip phone is cool.
It's feels like Star Trek every time I flip it open.

I am 65 and never owned any type of cell phone. I also haven't had TV for 7 years. I get all my information from the internet. I still have a land line phone. Thank you for the video sir.

I depise phones in general.... get sick and tired as heck that folks always expect instant answers and connectivity when I am more than happy if you leave me alone, and leave a message somewhere else, like a landline. I saw so many many folks getting lost in their damn phones, and not connecting verbally at family gatherings, but they text each other when they are sitting right next to each other, so nobody can hear, but blocked themselves out from all useful human activity. And folks don't get it when I turn the damn thing off for a week or I don't need to, and they shouldn't need ya know? thank you Bjorn.... you hit the nail on the head.
I hate it.
and am still yet stuck to it for other folks sake, and to make sure that my jobs are taken care of... but after dead mom's estate is dealt with.... It stays off until emergency only. I will not allow my kids to have a cell phone until they can pay for it themselves, they don't need it.
What on earth did folks do to survive in up until the mid 90's and early 2000's. They don't damn need it, they only use for games and social media crap.... but ain't teaching them anything at all useful, ya know?
