‎ While large fish are often hard to take care of because of their tank size requirements or aggression, Zenzo goes through a list of his top 5 "easier" fish for big aquariums.

Severum is one of my absolute favorite fish that get large but can live great in a 4 foot tank.

A Bichir is literally my dream fish. Someday when I know I’ll be in a place for awhile, I’ll be getting one. I absolutely cannot wait. Hope everyone has a great Christmas :)

I think my number one large fish is Shubunkin goldfish - long lived, super hardy, no heater needed, and a great tank mate for my other favorite big fish, dojo loaches 👍

Common and Comet Goldfish are an obvious choice. A lot of people get them as babies and try to keep them in smaller tanks with predictably negative results. However, if you keep them in a large tank with good filtration and don't overstock it, they can grow to over a foot in length and live a long time (10+ years). Shubunkins are especially pretty and make an impressive, colorful display in a large tank or pond. Also, large Goldfish get surprisingly tame, taking food directly from you hand and nibbling on your fingers during water changes.

Discus, discus and discus. I guess you can see that I’m a fan of discus. Nice video! Thanks.

I absolutely adore Oscars. Such a fantastic and rewarding fish to keep. I had an ~11 inch Albino Tiger named Chucky that I received already full grown from my brother who was thinning out his herd a bit. Every Oscar that I have kept over the years just had personality for days. It's cool to have a wet pet that is interested in what you're doing and doesn't just dart to cover like some do. I noticed that at the end of the video I saw a few Midas. I think that would be a good alternative to a Flowerhorn if you've got the space.

Female Flowerhorns are 100 times more beautiful than the males. They do not have that dumb bump on its head, which just makes it more attractive. Had one in my 120 African cichlid tank. They all got along very well.

I have my Bichir in my Oscar tank, only problem with that is the Oscars are pigs, and eat up all the food before I can ever even hit the bottom so I have to hand feed the bichir with tongs

I breed flowerhorn. They really aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Big water puppies. Temperamental. Hit and miss on aggression.

pretty solid list of some of the industry classics. The bichirs definitely being my favorite by a long shot(especially the lower jawed ones). For myself however, the fun really started once I got away from the fish everybody keeps :D

The flowerhorn at 3:32 has a massive head, but it’s head could be slightly bigger, most likely if it had more time to groom and get pretty before, still a perfect and beautiful fish ❤

I have a 140 gallon only. I have 21 community fish (small ones). I'll buy larger ones this coming weekend. Thanks for the video.

What kind was the bargain fish that was black with teal blue specks? Looks like a cichlid of some type.

Still personally feel an Oscar should be housed in a 180. You'd be able to house a pair plus silver dollars and a few medium growing plecos. Just bc the average Oscar grows to 15 inches max 18. You forgot to mention their clumsy nature 😅

I too think severums would be a good add to this list :)
