These are the "Hutchinson" sisters from Chicago. That is Wanda on lead, Sheila in the middle and Pamela (passed 9/18/ 2020)on the far end(Pamela temporarily replaced Jeanette on this performance because Jeannette had just had a baby) This song actually hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977. Produced by Maurice White of Earth Wind and Fire.

This song is over 45 years old and will never sound old. It is musical perfection!

The nicest thing about this channel is you get to hear songs you haven’t heard in decades and revisiting your 70’s childhood. 🥰

"Don't Ask My Neighbor". A slow ballad and simply beautiful.

YES!!! THE EMOTIONS!!😃😃 These three ladies were one of my favorite 70's group...they also sang backup for Earth, Wind & Fire on "Boogie Wonderland". You should also hear Flowers and Don't Want To Lose Your Love. If I'm not mistaken, they were the Hutchinson sisters...Wanda, Pamela and I forgot the other sister's name.

J & A, their "I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love" is also funky!! They did backing vocals on "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind & Fire, which you reacted to.

My favorite female group of all-times. These women know that they can really sing. My favorite song by them is the awesome ""Don't Ask My Neighbor" They were the women that performed with EWF on their song "Boogie Wonderland" that you guys already reacted to. When are you guys going to give us some queen of soul ARETHA FRANKLIN? Please don't forget the greatest female singer in the last 50 years in Phyllis Hyman.

These are 3 sisters whose vocals blend amazingly well for great harmonies. This is a song that your crazy uncle gotta get up and shake a thang at the bbq or family reunion.

The Emotions album was produced by Maurice White of Earth Wind And Fire. "I Don't Want To Lose Your Love" burned up the dancefloor too. "Don't Ask My Neighbor" and "Flowers" were also big R&B hits.

An early 70s song I never get tired of hearing, I'll stay in the car to play it through, is "Backstabbers" by the OJays. Not a female group ... but a great R&B song by a classic R&B group.

They're sisters, they were actually back up singers for Earth, Wind and Fire and had several hits as a group, "Flowers" is an amazing song to check out by them.

Excellent choice. The Emotions were an excellent 70’s group. This was their second album recorded after signing with Maurice White’s (Earth, Wind, & Fire) Kalimba Productions. Many of the guys from EWF including Verdine White on the funky bass played on the album. They were one of four sister acts active in the 70’s along with Sister Sledge, The Pointer Sisters, and the Jones Girls. There WERE NOT a Motown act. They started in their native Chicago as a gospel act and migrated to Memphis and signed with southern soul label Stax. After Stax folded in 1975 they signed with Columbia where they became label mates and production mates with Earth, Wind & Fire and Denise Williams.
