So if Dowry is banned should alimony be too?

Yes i didn't let my daughter take alimony. She divorced her husband after 7 years due to emotional abuse by her husband. She hates me for this, cause she was a stay at home mom but atleast i didn't let her wrong her husband.

My biggest confusion is People hate dowry but they only say woman should get equal share in Ancestral property.

According to me, if a woman has a minimum of bachelor's degree or if she is working or she already has property worth 15 lakhs and her age is less than 50 years then she should not have the right to get alimony, same rule should apply to men as well

What if men stopped working and looked after kids and cooked for our families. Will women be ready to pay men if the matter comes up to divorce. Will a women really marry such a man? The first woman considers housework needs to be paid? But when was it agreed upon? If housework is monetized why stop there, why not consider rent, shopping, and utilities the wife enjoyed with her ex's money for free?

Alimony must only be given if basic needs were not met by the divorced spouse for some time to find she finds employment. If the spouse can takecare of herself, then no alimony.

Why is paying you a responsibility of a man if you both are being divorced by your own will?he can pay you money if you both have a child as a child expense but it's not a man's fault that you don't have a source of income after being divorced. Only child expense should be given if the custody of the child is with the woman
