This is a short video but I really enjoyed getting this off my chest. Vanlife is both cozy and uncomfortable at the same time and hopefully this video will shed some light on that for those of you that are curious about the reality of the lifestyle. It's not always as glamorous as we make it seem. But nonetheless, I have a wonderful life and I'm thankful for my ability to live the way I do.
I hope you all enjoyed this video! <3

There needs to be a place where Vanlifers or RVers can go that's like truck stops but just for them. A homey-type place where everyone feels welcome no matter what walks of life they have undertaken. If I could make it for you, I would. We can all hope for a place like this one day.

I felt this to my core. I've been trying to find myself and my place in this world for 3 years now. After an accident in 2018 I shut down mentally for 2 1/2 years. It took a divorce and losing everything for me to wake up. I've spent the past 6 months contemplating how to do what I see all these nomads doing. It's tough starting from nothing at almost 50 years old.
I really enjoy the energy and honesty in your work. Keep it up.

Damn.. the tears got to me. I'm new to this whole concept of being able to live in a van and I'm so grateful to have found this channel and be a part of the journey. Thank you for the amazing content, always a joy.

You just spoke the words I couldn't even dare to say.
I didn't have a single memory of what home is like, a place I can go back to when things go south, where I don't need to leave, where for no reason or effort I could say feel I belong.

All my life I have been moving from place to place. I grew up basically alone. My parents broke up when I was barely 1 year old. I have been passed on from relative to another, until I am old enough to decide to live on my own. I have not built strong connections with anyone in my life. No family, just a few friends. I managed to get education, had a career in nursing for 4 years, got another opportunity to study doctor of medicine, and I am 1 month away from graduation now at age 29. Everything is great. But somehow, with no one to celebrate with on that day, it feels... empty.

I just found your channel recently and I enjoyed every one of your content. This video hits different though, I have to yell at the ninja chopping the onions.

Sorry for the long comment, I wish we find that belongingness somewhere, someday.

It's awesome to hear the honesty, truly. Its really easy for all of us not living this life to come to these videos and just fantasize about how great it is while at the same time ignoring things like what you're going through quietly. If its any consolation, at least I hope you realize how much we appreciate the window into this life and allowing us to live vicariously through your videos.

I live literally right off Blue Ridge Parkway and it's absolutely Magical. I'm up around Boone and just wow. Cool to see you up around my stretch of the mountains! Love your content, you have really inspired me as a creative and to downsize and live with a smaller material footprint. Being a military brat I can understand a lack of feeling of home, so Blue Ridge really has become that for me these past 2 years.

Mannn I feel this so hard and I don’t even live in a van… I moved away from my hometown a few years ago and have struggled to find any sense of belonging ever since. It’s really what peaked my interest in van life, bc “home” is always so uncomfortable.
Ty for a great video

You literally live my dream life. While i am dreading about being stuck in the corporate world, a mundane lifestyle working 9-5. Deep down this is what my soul wants, this kind of life. I desire it. I need it.

I cannot overstate how beautifully made this is. Love your creative aesthetic, and appreciate the heads-up about sense of belonging. This is something I really want to do. I took your advice and stayed in my car for a few nights. Still want to do it.

You know, first of all, this was a fantastic video. Again, really cozy and just awesome.
Seconed, while a lot of us are viewers, and people that you never met, please remember that all of us are here to listen if you have something on your chest.
Nevertheless, keep making this awesome content and always, first and foremost, stay healthy and happy.

I hope this isn’t too weird, but the message I got from this—is a lot of people grew up being grounded/in their roots that, we get that strong sense of familiarity, and it stays with us for years no matter where we go. It’s wild that I found your channel from a reddit post, leading to an Instagram pic, then to here. Came for the van life gaming, stayed for the stories and memories you’re willing to share.

Love that you can talk openly . I have lived in 5 different states now for long stretches . I found that the constant safe home I searched for was in my wife’s heart . Now with kids and her I don’t care where we go the comfort is always there . I hope you find your place .

find a location you can go back to whenever you want and build something there like a treehouse or a campsite or anything, just a lil somewhere to stop by whenever you need to
