After Hurricane Milton grew from a Category 1 hurricane into a Category 5 Monday, the storm weakened slightly Tuesday after undergoing an eyewall replacement. The hurricane's top sustained winds were 155 mph Tuesday afternoon — making it a Category 4 storm. At its peak, Milton had winds up to 185 mph and the fifth-lowest barometric pressure ever recorded in an Atlantic hurricane.

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall in Florida late Wednesday or early Thursday as a Category 3 storm.

If you have loved ones expecting damage from Milton, think about Speaker Mike Johnson refusing to call back the House to work on aid for victims of Hurricane Helene to make President Biden look bad. Why would you vote for the party whose presidential candidate said, "I don't care about you. I only want your vote."?

Flood insurance issues. Increasingly frequent storms. No time to clean up the mess from last one. Yikes! God bless the Floridians. I hope that everyone can get away, and that there is something to return to in a few days. Why are Republicans speaking and voting against FEMA, why is Marjorie TG calling these storms Democratic creations, and Mike Johnson not calling for early House return to vote for emergency assistance? This is not the time for political grandstanding. This is the time to come together and help each other!
