Car Engine Cutting Out? Only Drives Slow? How to Check Air Intake System!

Car engine cutting out? Only drives slow? Has your car or truck suddenly become very weak, even when flooring the gas pedal? Does the engine cut out at low speed? These symptoms present themselves when your car or truck's engine is not getting enough air to burn fuel. The average engine is tuned to burn 1 part fuel with approximately 14 parts air, so if your engine is not taking in enough clean air from outside, the computer will cut it off to prevent damage. In this video, Len shows you how to inspect your intake system for debris, dirty air filters, and hidden snacks that might be getting in the way.

this happened to me! Mechanic didn't put clamp back on intake hose....smh...when it got hot the hose expanded and limp mode! took me a year then a buddy said...hey there's no clamp on that hose...Bam! that fixed it. After 2 mechanics it was a clamp!

I had noticed my car lights flickering and even on the dashboard for a few weeks. I bought an engine air filter and changed it myself then noticed the flickering had gone so I’m sure it was because the older filter was restricting airflow to the engine since it was very dirty. I did learn something here. Thank you!

Differently felt all the symptoms, started the car it didn't wanted to start i accelerated it started and was shaking reduced horse power no pulling. Changed the air filter cleaner and boom it runs snooth

Had a filter with the screen and think it was restricted my air flow . I was having rpm surge. After changing part after part I looked back at filter and changed it again with factory filter . Surge went away. Think even with screen it was cutting air back or swirling it to cause the problem?

I have the same situation when I am stopped on a traffic light the car start to jump and the RPM starts fluctuating up and down, changed the gasoline pump and the gas filter but still feel like a misfire a piston what could be and you have any place for repair here in NJ

I have an 04 dodge truck in limp mode somebody said yank out the relay and then put it back in place and that fixes it. What relay tho? Thanks Awesome video awesome parts I am a fan and a customer. -PawPaw

I’m hearing a puff sound when I shut off the engine after I disconnected the hose clamp and unplugged it the air sensor. I this happened when I had get access to the passenger low beam light bulb.

Can’t figure mine out…. Replaced my throttle body, battery, spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter, oil change, coolant change ect. It’s now in LIMP MODE and have researched a ton and tried everything and nothing is working. When I got my new throttle body… I picked it out of the box and had a rattle in it… I don’t know if it’s supposed to sound like that but had no choice but to put it on. I’ve watched videos and tips and tricks and nothing.
