I've got into the habit of reminding myself of this every day, and I'm so much more contented.

bad days are more than happy days. happy days are even rare. like normal days is not bad or happy but usually it's tiring. well i do think sometimes when i am in my lowest, i wanna die or i wanna be somewhere. but since thats not gonna happen like magic, this memento mori saying still giving me hope. to live where my heart wants. to live not "comfortably" but lively. i wanna strive not thrive or doing nothing. I think whenever i am going to hear or read "memento mori" it resonates "you have dreams, you are trying to improve, dont waste it on useless overthinking and declining simple acts. life goes on anyways, till i die.. so, if you are still alive, try to be calm, positive, rest WELL and just do every move the most of it, just do everything better. Actively make it right, not passively making something just to make it "done."

people tend to assume that thinking about the fact of death daily can cause anxiety, stress, depression, etc - but I've learned along my journey so far that thinking about and discussing death with others has opened my mind to so many inspirational moments 🖤

Thinking about inevitable death gives people a lot of anxiety and depression. Not sure I would like to think about it on a daily basis.

For anyone wondering, memento mori means " remember, you must die. " Mori means death. Vivere is life, another phrase being " memento Vivere "

I go to quit letting other people upset me so much - other people who can't help it or choose to be thoughtless, disgusting, rude or other unpleasant thing. They for some reason never learned on the way up and still don't care to learn how to be as an adult. But I got to quit letting them bother me to the point of making myself miserable.

Well, but it is a big difference between thinking of death as a decision making tool when you really know that you are going to die in the course of the next three months because of an illness (as an example) — and just thinking of death as a healthy 40 year old man.
In the latter case you feel or assume that you still have decades in front of you (even without actually knowing with certainty). Thatwhy you are forced to think of life and your decisions with a bigger responsibility than a dying man and shy away of making great risks or doing simply what you want.

I’ve had a couple near death experiences, it’s not as scary as people think, it’s more of a feeling than a place you go, kind-of ruined fear of death motivating me though unfortunately
