I can never understand how someone thinks it is okay to tell someone they aren't "minimalist enough" or that they are "too extreme". Live and let live especially when we are all figuring things out as we go and doing our best.

If you want 10 sweaters, you should have 10 sweaters. Everyone needs to have an area of their life that brings them joy. You can still be a sustainable minimalist if you have an over abundance of one type of item as long as the rest of you possessions are low.

I have 7 short sleeve tees, 7 long sleeve tees, and 7 tank tops all purchased secondhand except 2 and I am a minimalist. It doesn’t matter the number of items you own. No person is the same and neither are their needs.

I also have 10 sweaters, I live in northern England where autumn/winter lasts seven months. Personally I am happier with my wardrobe if I have a few choices and I love and wear all my sweaters (they're mostly secondhand). If you get good use out of all of them it's no problem.

Liebe Lia, ich freue mich total, dich wieder in diesem wunderbaren Pulli zu sehen. 😊👍 Hab' weiterhin Spaß an all deinen Sweatern! 😊 LG Andrea

Such a great video! And 10 sweaters - so what? Currently I have 2 sweaters. TWO! Am I the "better " minimalist? More sustainable than you? No! Actually I'm not a minimalist, I just want to be more minimalistic than I am right now, and I watch your channel because I always learn something about sustainability here ... I'm on my path, but still have a long way to go. Back to possessions: "Globally "seen, I still own at least 20 times the amount of stuff than you do. Probably more...I haven't counted. To judge somebody's minimalism/ sustainability level on the number of one particular kind of item, can be just so totally misleading.

Hello dear Lia. I don’t want this comment to sound hateful or anything like that. This is just my personal feeling. I kinda miss your little intros at the beginning like you had in your older videos. Just a few seconds of saying hi, maybe talk about your current projects or how you are generally right now. Or what thoughts brought you to the subject that you are talking about. I totally understand if you don’t want to do that anymore or at this time. Much love to you. ❤

As always— great points! 🤗❤️
Another reason why I like to stick to sustainable, natural fibers is that they are typically longer lasting; being easier to take care of and repair are just a couple reasons for this.
For instance, if a synthetic material gets a hole or rip, it can fray/run and become impossible or very difficult to repair.
If the color of an organic cotton shirt drastically fades overtime, you can easily refresh it (or alter the color) at home with dye or plant materials.
It can also be very difficult, or impossible, to remove stains from synthetic fabrics, and I find that synthetic sweaters easily pill and attract lint!
Of course, there are lot of other benefits to natural fibers as well, but I think this is another helpful point to consider!! 😊

Do you have any advice on fulfilment? I feel like if I was more fulfilled, maybe I would want less?
