These are super helpful tips. I personally find that I struggle the most with impulse buys when I‘m on instagram. I‘ll see a cute outfit and immediately want to buy without actually needing it. I‘ll try to track my purchases and maybe set a budget. However I don‘t want to restrict myself like if I‘m out in the town or on holiday I love to buy cute things. It‘s just these instagram purchases that I want to stop.

Great advices! I don't really buy that much clothes, but practicing waiting really helped me a lot with buying in general, especially with jewelry and hair products (I'm a curly girl so I have more than I need 🙈😅😂).

I have had some success in the past with the Waiting trick. I find that often when i think i really want an item and i wait a few days, i then realize i start wanting it less. This is also why impulse buying is just so bad for us: when you buy that item you think you really need it but oftentimes once it arrives (talking about buying online here), you really don't want it all that much any more..at least that's my experience

I like to buy online from one of the shopping platform in our country, because they have 100 days return policy. So I will put some clothes with the tags in my wardrobe and, for example, if I won't wear it within 2 months I will be able to returnt it, because it still has tags, packaging etc.

This approach extremely helped me, because I was able to buy some items when there was a discount and I have this item in my wardrobe on a waiting list. This helped me to save so much money and to see what items I really like. Because when they are already in my clothet my brain doesn't think about them like "new" and this new impression of the clothes doesn't influence me.
