While I am not a fan of the Post-Movie episodes, I really do appreciate the couch gags for how they have evolved and hiring different animators. I never even heard or seen some of these gags until this video and I love the creativity of them all!!

My favourite couch gag is the one where they zoom out from the Simpson’s house and into outer space, which then further zooms out and we see some atoms which is then revealed to be the atoms that make up Homer’s forehead.

I read recently that the live action couch gag was produced by Sky as part of their promotion for the show, which is part of the reason why it's not used in reruns. It was filmed in Orpington, Kent (it definitely has a very British look to it)

I can remember 11 yr old me in the UK wishing for 2006 (when The Simpsons Movie was first advertised) to hurry up and finish so that I could finally get to watch the movie at the cinema. I must have been nowhere near the only one haha.

Weird how the couch gag has become the most talked about part of The Simpsons (Well, in terms of episode content anyway!) The evolution one is my fave.

I always felt that the 500 episode couch gag was a sequel to the 100 episode one. Also, my favorite couch gag is from season 31 where the Simpsons family’s clothes sit on the couch, bu the actual family is shivering from the cold air.
