Abstract: Swift has been on every tech publication’s “Top 10 Languages to Learn” list for five of it’s six-year lifespan. Why is this? Swift has proven its potency well beyond the mobile (iOS) community as its range of capabilities continue to grow via the open source community, emerging into realms like Machine Learning and serverless.
In this introduction to Swift, we’ll look into the basics of the language and demystify the reasons behind Swift’s increasing popularity in 2020 and beyond.
