U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration officers searched passengers for cash right after they scanned their passes to board their flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Dr. Rashad Richey and Ben Gleib discuss on Indisputable. Tell us what you think in the comments below.

"ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - That passenger standing next to you at the departure gate may actually be a plain-clothes drug agent.

Atlanta News First Investigates recently tailed U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) task force officers as they walked, otherwise unnoticed, from gate to gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. We watched them search passengers right after they scanned their boarding passes.

“He just approached me, and he asked me for my ID,” film director Tabari Sturdivant said. “He didn’t state who he was. He just asked me for ID, and I thought he was a Delta agent. He had airport credentials on, and so I gave it to him immediately.”"

There needs to be a forensic audit of financial records of all law enforcement involved.

End Qualified Immunity and start holding law enforcement officers accountable for their criminal actions and lying.

If you’re suspected of drug trafficking why aren’t you arrested and go through the process. This is robbery.

Law enforcement is completely out of control in this country. Instead of being protectors and servants, they're a public menace.

So they basically robbed passengers, especially black people. These DEAs should be charged for theft and illegal search.

I was flying internationally out of Chicago and two agents were at the bridge. The first one stopped me and asked me how much money I had. I told him and he let me go. I walked like 4 steps and the 2nd agent stopped me and asked me the same question even though he was close enough to see and hear my interaction with the first agent. These agents are racists. They can pick and choose who they stop even though they say its random.

This has happened twice to me. It happens so often because people ALLOW these "officers" to illegally search them WITHOUT a warrant!!! Both times he tries to tell me if I "cooperate", he'll make sure I don't miss my flight. My response both times, and always will be: No, you cannot search me or anything I have without a warrant. I need your names and badge numbers for my upcoming lawsuit, per my attorney's instructions. He tries to give you that "mean, intimidating" stare for 30 - 45 seconds in silence as I'm smiling in his beady lil eyes and then "allows" me to clowns and only get to do what YOU allow them when it's outside the law....js

My dad told me this many times. When you travel aboard a plane, Do Not Carry Cash. Only Carry Travelers Checks. Go to your bank and get them. Then write down all the check numbers, just in case you loose them. And only you can cash them, because you need two forms of ID to cash them. Nobody can take it from you.

Just because they wear badges and uniforms does not make anything they do legal.

Civil forfeiture needs to be abolished

The funny thing is, if you refuse a search and they detain you during the attempt to get a warrant. Are they gonna call the judge and say “please give us a search warrant” and the judge asks “what probable cause do you have?” “They are black, judge”…..

I normally travel with about $3K in cash. Gotta watch out for these thieves. They are worse than airport pickpockets.

This country cannot continue to survive the foul and criminal behavior exhibited by the folks who are supposed to protect the people...

Another reason why people hate police.

These officers are not smart enough to pull this trick on citizens. They must have legal advice from their own city attorneys to perform these violations of citizens' rights.

That story is about the most obvious bureaucratic grift in America today. How does the officer even have the right to search? And why doesn't the prosecutor have the burden of proof for guilt? If I put $500 worth of traveling money in my bag, how does the State have the right to take it because someone, somewhere is possibly guilty of a crime?
