I see many comments here about the software I'm using so let's make it clear once and for all: I am using MAYA for all my 3D stuff, and NUKE/AFTER EFFECTS for compositing and color correction.

Im just starting to animate in 3D even was able to have a friend make and rig my character glacia for me. I just figured out how to render and now im working on getting her to actually move from one place to another. Having your own characters is such a huge motivator that i never realized before.

Question! It seems like so much time and effort go into creating these wonderful stories - but how do you fund it?? Are you able to cover the hours you spend labouring to bring these characters to life? I'm intrigued to know how a profession that requires such an intense amount of work is sustainable financially...

I literally am writing my story for me and my sister to 2D animate, and now we have our storyboard. Also this is a good tutorial :)
