EU4 or Europa Universalis 4 is a fantastic historical grand strategy game which puts the player in charge of any country in the world between the year 1444 AD and 1821 AD. Today the spiffing brit will be playing this classic paradox interactive strategy game to see if the Vassal Only challenge is perfectly balanced and fair. I mean we need spiff to discover if EU4 IS A PERFECTLY BALANCED GAME WITH NO EXPLOITS!!! Or if Japans Vassal Only Challenge is broken and a far too overpowered glitch. So Is the vassal only challenge perfectly balanced lets find out.

Id actually heard about the time glitch exploit before for getting wacky claims but had never really put 2 and 2 together to use it this way. Im impressed with your creativity.

Edit: started looking at this myself and have come up with a way to make it even more spicy. In addition to annexing Ando, annex Uesugi so you can form Japan and nobody else. When given the option, keep your old Ashikaga ideas. This will give you access to the Japanese mission tree as well as that last Ashikaga idea which gives an additional 25% income from vassals and 100% force limit on top of everything else. Now I just have to hope they dont patch this madness

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: this exploit still works - but its wierd- ashikaga starts as a duchy and all of the rest of japan start as a duchy or an independent daimyo, but the weird thing is - they are daimyo vassals under a duchy...

3:55 Extra diplomats are underrated: more diplomats means more claims fabricated (saving admin mana) and more relation improvement (meaning quicker vassalisation).

Best vassal swarm is Poland becoming HRE emperor, adding all the land, breaking the ottomans into tiny states that join the HRE because you released them, then pass the reform to vassalize all of the HRE.

This still works, and not mentioned here is that if you do this, when you go back to 1444 Venice is a prince of the HRE making it a breeze to avoid the shadow kingdom.

I recently studied Sengoku Jidai (the thing happening in Japan that turned it into a couple dozen fiefdoms in this game), and it's really, really funny to see you end it by deciding that people aren't allowed to fight anymore.

The dense amount of cunning tricks, backstabbing, and Oda pretty much carrying the team never happened because one Englishman had an idea.
